A few days back, I was speaking to one of our Tenants, who is an Acharya college student.
When I spoke, he revealed How his PG owner didn’t give his Advance back.
When I asked about how much, he replied ₹15,000.
When I asked why, he replied every time I met, he said no one had joined in his place kind of reason he used to tell. But now, he has blocked my number.
When I visit PG, he doesn’t respond properly….
I also stopped asking him now, thinking he could create some issues.
This is not the first time I have heard such a story from students who are staying in PG.
I had another guy who gave Advance to stay in our 1BHK rental property. Due to his PG owner not being ready to return his Advance, he politely asked for a refund of the advance amount he gave me.
I returned his advance.
So, if you are going to stay in PG, be aware of this issue. Especially if you are an out-of-state student.
Usually, if you clearly tell PG owners how long you will stay and stay till that period, they may not create trouble while quitting…
They will create this issue if you tell them you will stay 11 months and quit after 3 months.
If you are trying to join PG temporarly for few months. In that case, it’s better to look for the rental property itself instead of joining PG. To avoid drama while quitting…
That’s all I wanted to share.
